The India Factory features works by four contemporary Indian artists Haribabu Natesan, Ranjit Dahiya, Abhishek Ghate and Pseudoku2010 whose work engages with and emerges from the production and consumption of culture that is uniquely Indian.
Haribaabu Natesan presents Fossils a collection of animal fossils and abstract designs created through a ‘reprocessing’ of electronic junk into semi-relief sculptural works. Ranjit Dahiya, shares the styles and strokes of Bollywood film posters through the hand-painted posters of Deewar and Mother India. 8-BIT DRAMA by Abhishek Ghate explores the childhood nostalgia of Indian cinema and advent of low-resolution moving images on a digital screen; and in My Matchbox Collection, Pseudoku2010 reveals his extensive and meticulously categorized collection of over 600 Indian matchbox labels.
